Collection of 34 anti-fascist handbills issued by miscellaneous groups within the Communist Party in Madrid, including the Mujeres Antifascistas. Topics include the role of women in the war, calls for volunteers to fight against fascism, the Popular Front (Frente Popular), May Day celebrations, the C.N.T. and U.G.T., and the like. One handbill addressed to women calls for the evacuation of Madrid, "abandonando Madrid ayudas al frente." Another handbill describes the construction of bomb shelters, and another the training of women in the use of firearms.
